Brian studied at the University of Sheffield and gained a degree in Chemistry and Statistics which facilitated a career working for Laporte Fluorides which was later acquired by Evonik Industries, one of the world’s leading chemical speciality companies based in Germany. During his time at Laporte he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant which enhanced his role in the business and resulted in his involvement in all aspects of the chemical business operational development that involved plant development and international transfer pricing due to the size of the businesses global footprint. Brian was part of the management team that developed an embryo product into a commercial manufacturing process that has resulted in the emergence of super plastics which we see used in many industrial products and in the aviation industry rather than the traditional aluminium.

Brian has worked with Jonathan the CEO of VDL Car hire for over 25 years and has forged both a strong business and personal friendship over this time from which has emerged a formidable commercial partnership based on simple core business values and understandings.

Brian’s experience in dealing with banks and finance companies ensures a robust financial funding model for the Group’s international operations.
